We are pleased to announce that the Natural Science and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC) has accepted a research proposal we are involved in with a number of partners. The research project, headed by Dr. Sean Doherty (of Wilfred Laurier University), continues Dr. Doherty's pioneering development of a patent-pending system for processing GPS data to automatically detect human activities and a wide range oftheir attributes. This includes detection of stationary activities by start/end time and location (geo-coordinates and even building names), movements, trips and physical activity (walking, running, biking, driving), and environmental attributes (indoors, outdoors, natural environments, highways, etc.). February 2010 Conference and Event Schedule Howard Rosen will be speaking at the Mobile Monday Conference in Philadelphia on March 15, 2010 having recently presented in San Antonio, Texas on February 3, 2010 presenting at the ATR (Access To Recovery) Grantee Meetings at a seminar entitled "Innovative Uses of Technology to Improve Treatment and Recovery". Garry Carneal presented for Life:WIRE at the mHealth Conference on February 4, 2010 in Washington DC. Other recent presentations include the Technology Showcase on the Hill (Washington DC), during National Health IT, Canadian Embassy in Washington DC and at the CMSA Conference on Phoenix Arizona.
